Phoenix Volleyball Academy builds confident, competitive volleyball players. Two programs. One mission: fun, development, and confidence on the court.
The Phoenix Difference
Two training sessions every week with structured coaching that builds real skills, not just drills.
Players compete in real tournaments as part of the program, not as an expensive add-on.
Whether your child is picking up a volleyball for the first time or has played for years, we meet them where they are.
Our coaches focus on effort and improvement, not just winning. Players leave feeling capable and confident.
This is a place where players belong. Friendships form, accountability builds, and kids learn what it means to show up for each other.
Strength, conditioning, and skills training are all included. No hidden costs for extras.
Player Development
Serving, passing, setting, and hitting fundamentals
Game awareness and court positioning
Communication and teamwork under pressure
Match preparation and competitive readiness
Physical conditioning: strength, agility, and endurance
About Us
Phoenix Volleyball was founded by Martin Burguburu and Freddy Oramas out of a shared love for the sport and a desire to create a space where athletes can truly develop, both on and off the court. What started as a passion for playing and coaching volleyball quickly grew into a mission: to provide guidance, tools, and support so that every player can reach their full potential.
At Phoenix, we focus not only on performance, but also on creating a positive impact. Our goal is to leave lasting memories and values in every athlete who joins our family.

Co-Founder & Coach
Freddy is the visionary founder of Phoenix Academy. His passion for volleyball began at a young age, and his competitive journey includes state-level youth competitions and representing his university team from 2008 to 2011. Today, he brings his experience, leadership, and deep understanding of the game into coaching, with a strong commitment to developing athletes both on and off the court. His mission is to empower every player, helping them grow not only as athletes, but as confident, disciplined individuals who carry these values beyond the game.

Co-Founder & Coach
Martin is a certified physical education teacher and personal trainer who brings a wealth of experience and a lifelong passion for sports education. His background includes teaching physical education in schools, coaching strength and conditioning for soccer clubs, and personal training, all leading to his dedication as a volleyball coach. Bilingual in Spanish and English, Martin is committed to fostering teamwork, skill development, and personal growth, helping every player reach their full potential while enjoying the game and building lasting connections.
Commitment
Every player is encouraged to give their best and grow every day.
Teamwork
Success comes from unity and support within the group.
Fun & Passion
Enjoying the game is as important as winning.
Respect & Integrity
For teammates, coaches, and the sport.
Lifelong Impact
Creating memories and values that extend beyond the court.

At Phoenix Volleyball, we believe every athlete deserves a space to grow, compete, and belong to a team that feels like family. Our mission is to inspire young athletes to embrace an active lifestyle, develop their skills, and create lasting friendships along the way.
